Our Layperson CPR AED with First Aid online certification course is designed specifically for non-healthcare professionals (if you are a healthcare profession please see BLS CPR for Healthcare Provider). The Layperson CPR courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who need a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. This course is also approved for US Coast Guard training.

This course covers Adult, Child, Infant CPR, AED and basic First Aid Training. After successfully completing the online CPR AED First Aid Course, students should be able to:

  • Describe the key steps in first aid, learn about removing gloves
  • Describe the assessment and first aid actions for the following life-threatening conditions: heart attack, difficulty breathing, choking, severe bleeding, shock, and stroke
  • Control bleeding/bandaging and Recognize elements of common injuries and illnesses

American Heart Association Online CourseDue to COVID19 and social distancing guidelines all training has moved to online course + virtual skills session via Zoom with our American Heart Association instructor.

How does it work??? You complete the online part at your own pace, watch the videos, complete the modules with quiz questions, then take final exam. When you pass the final exam you will schedule yourself for a date/time for the AHA webinar skills evaluation via Zoom with one of our AHA instructors. There is no extra cost, and you will be able to schedule a time that is convenient for you. Skills session take about an hour depending on skills level. At the end you will be issued the American Heart Association CPR eCard good for 2 years.
